Langkawi Malaysia

"Langkawi Resort & Spa has several attractions for international visitors, not least its location," says Nurhayati. "We have our own private 500m beach front, within a sprawling property owned by Westin that covers over 42 hectares. At the same time it's only a few minutes from the shopping, cinemas, sights and cultural vibrancy of the township."
The resort reflects traditional Malaysian style, with contemporary comfort built in. The approach from the private jetty leads up to the main hotel. Beyond this lies a recreation centre, with a grouping of resort villas nearby. Adjacent to the villas, and opening onto the beach itself, is a comprehensive spa facility offering an array of treatments that include everything from an aroma stone massage to a Royal Thai massage and reflexology.

Teluk Batik

Teluk Batik
Approximately 84 km south of Ipoh is the quiet coastal town of Lumut which is now the base of the Royal Malaysian Navy and the jumping-off point to Pangkor island. Many locals, however, do not take the ferry to Pangkor but instead head for Teluk Batik, a pleasant beach about 6 km from Lumut. Here the white sands and swaying coconut trees make it an ideal site for relaxation and swimming. At low tide, some hard corals become visible. Chalet accommodation is available.
