How to get best hotel rates in Malaysia

Hotels Malaysia
honestly, book through travel agent r cheaper than u walk-in @ book online, but sumtimes when there's any offer by the hotels Malaysia, book online r better..i can assure u'll get better rate from agent.

Walk in rates are always flat rates from my past experiences, and most expensive amongs the 3 choices (walk in, travel agency, online booking).

While travel agencies could usually offer you better rates, hotels usually have online promotions to get people to visit their website and place a booking online, so my advice would be, first of all, pick a few hotels Malaysia in the places that is already in your 'must visit' list, then start browsing the hotel's own website as well as some of the local, Malaysia-based travel agency websites. A lot of them (travel agencies) are actually actively using internet and emails to rack in international customers so you can email them your query. Dont forget to leave your personal details, especially on when you will arrive, and how long you will be staying in a particular hotel. Since Malaysia is not exactly a small place, you might be emailing quite a number of hotels Malaysia and travel agencies, but hey, it will cost less than you calling them, and perhaps could even save you the money that you might have spent by walking in.

That said, do not forget to counter check the hotel website (if they have one), as some major hotel chains have online promotions, for example, Genting Group (www.genting.com.my) offer a room for as low as MYR 20, during their promotions
